Cold Mix Asphalt Plants. The Sumab ES-60 mobile plant is designed for the production of cold mix asphalt, with a capacity of 50-60 m³ per hour. The mobile plant is equipped with a convenient control cabin and an automatic plant control system. A modern Siemens computer system allows for the production of over 25 cold mix asphalt recipes. Each finished batch can be printed in kilograms and percentages, preventing the theft of aggregates during mixing. Cold mix asphalt is used as an all-weather mixture, primarily for road repair. Working with it is as simple as possible. All dirt is removed from the old pavement, the edges of the hole are framed, and the cold mix is ​​poured into the hole. It is then compacted and sprinkled with cement dust or sand to prevent it from sticking when the first vehicles pass. All work is done manually. Advantages of cold mix asphalt: - Road repairs can be carried out at low temperatures. - The mix can be laid in a wide range of temperatures (from -15 to +40°C). - The material is waste-free; after laying or repair work, the remains can be collected and reused. - It has a long shelf life. - Before laying or repairing, no extensive preparation or warming up is required (for example, when repairing potholes, it is sufficient to clear the ditch of dirt, debris, and water). - The material hardens quickly, and traffic can be quickly restored immediately after laying. - No special repair equipment required. - High adhesion, waterproofing properties, and increased stability. Cold asphalt is stored and transported in special bags or cardboard drum containers. It is completely ready for use, without preheating or preparation. - Cold asphalt is used to quickly seal manholes, cracks, and joints in asphalt pavement. This mixture is used to repair road sections where it is uneconomical to transport heavy road equipment.
